I recreated Cecilia Beaux's sensitive 3/4 portrait of a dark eyed little girl as a painted study in oil. As a painter, I was very intrigued to recapture her fleeting and soft expression juxtaposed with the fluttery handling of the brushstrokes in the background suggesting a temporal moment of time and space. This precious piece is custom framed in double periwinkle and gold with added touches of gold leaf on the fleurettes flanking the mini frame. A very distinctive painting and of special interest to any art collector.
